Brenna Skipper Spring 2020
Welcome to my
Magical Adventure
“First, think. Second, dream. Third, believe. And finally, dare.“
– Walt Disney
My name is Brenna Skipper. I am going to start off by giving a few facts about myself. I am currently a sophomore at the University of West Florida. I am a member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority on campus in which I love so much! I am majoring in Hospitality. I have a huge passion for the hospitality industry. I have been working in it for over three years now, and I have experiences in working hotels and plenty of restraunts. Over the years of working, I have gained so much experience and I have learned so many skills. I love encountering people and giving them the best possible service and attitude. I love putting a smile on people’s faces by going out of my way to help them.
Now, everyone in the hospitality industry knows that the Walt Disney Company is absolutely one of the strongest hospitality industries in the world. Disney is known as the “Happiest Place on Earth.” Without a doubt I can agree that I am the happiest form of my self watching Disney movies, listening to Disney music, and most of all, being in the magical parks.
Ever since I was little, my parents would always take me and my other siblings to Disney World in Orlando, FL. We would always stay in a Disney Resort (which I highly recommend doing that rather than staying in a off-site hotel). I have so many memories in Disney.
In late August of 2019, my twin sister encouraged me to apply for the Disney College Program. I was somewhat familiar with the program, but I did not exactly understand what it was. I applied and listed all of my job experience. A couple days after submitting my application, I received an email asking to participate in a Web-Based Interview. I was extremely excited to hear back from Disney! However, my sister had taken this web interview (WI) and she did not make it past. So I answered my questions very wisely. The questions were pretty direct, with answers ranging from “highly disagree” to “highly agree” and such. I could tell some of the questions were trying to throw off people to catch dishonesty.
Immediately after I completed the Web Interview, I got an email asking me to schedule a phone interview appointment. I was extremely excited! I made an appointment two weeks away, which was September 10th at 9:30am. During the following two weeks, as I waited, I constantly did research and watched Youtube videos to understand what questions I may potentially be asked during my phone interview. This helped me tremendously!
When the two weeks arrived, I was a nervous wreck. I wanted this so badly. about 10 minutes after my scheduled phone interview, a woman called me. I answered all of her questions perfectly. I was smiling throughout the interview and it was honestly extremely easy to answer her questions because she was so friendly and comforting.
The days after the interview I was so anxious. I wanted to find out right away, I hated not knowing.
Exactly a week later, my dreams came true! I was excepted into the Disney College Program for the Spring 2020 semester for Attractions. My arrival date is 1/27/20. I have already found out my job location – which is at Animal Kingdom. I will be working one of the Avatar rides in the Pandora Land.
I am absolutely thrilled to start my magical adventure.

Let the Memories Begin!!!
